Three times glory. Felix did it. We present to you a new roaster that is the recent winner of the World Coffee Roasting Championship for 2022. The Felix Kaffee roaster is therefore the proud holder of this award from Austria.

Located in picturesque St. Pölten was founded in 2012 by a coffee enthusiast named Felix Teiretzbacher. At that time, he was still the owner of the Cimbalino cafe bar in Kremž, where his desire to roast his own coffee was also born. This also became the basic building block of the Felix Kaffee roastery.

The goal of this Austrian roaster is to roast only coffees that are of particular quality and achieve at least 80 points out of 100 cupping scores according to the international standard. Another important point is contact with the green coffee producers themselves. Here we try to acquire in the most direct way possible. In the best case, they know the coffee growers personally. This is also related to the fact that, if time permits, the team of this roastery also tries to travel to the countries of origin where the selected coffee trees are grown. Selected coffees also hold BIO and Fair trade certificates. Select coffee is roasted on manual 7.5 kg and 30 kg drum roasters of the Coffeetool brand from Greece. For this, they also use Cropster roasting software to ensure quality and control the roasting process. This enables an even roasting curve to ensure consistent and excellent coffee quality. They also use aluminum-free bags to package their coffee, and the packaging is done entirely by hand.

In addition to winning the 2022 championship, the roaster also boasts a first place in coffee roasting at the 2019 Austrian Championship organized by SCA Austria. This was the very first event in the city of Grafenegg. This championship was held for 3 days, and thanks to this success, Felix could also compete for the first place in the World Championship in Taipei.
