Another unique creation from Mazelab coffee and Jackie Tran! This time, it’s the Tanzanian washed Geisha from the Acacia Hills farm, which will captivate you with its purity, elegance, and refinement. The flavor is dominated by vibrant citrus acidity, which beautifully complements the delicate sweetness of stone fruit. The body is full and smooth, with a long floral aftertaste that lingers even after the last sip.
The Acacia Hills farm, led by Leon Christianakis, is located in the Ngorongoro region and is one of the highest coffee farms in Tanzania. Thanks to the altitude above 1800 meters above sea level and the ideal microclimate, exceptional, complex, and clean coffees are produced here. Leon Christianakis and his team focus on precise processing and sustainable farming, earning a reputation as one of the best producers in the region. The Geisha variety is grown on the farm with the utmost care to highlight its delicate and elegant flavor characteristics.
This wash-processed Geisha has undergone careful fermentation and washing, which emphasizes its clarity and vibrant fruity character. After harvest, the cherries are hand-sorted, de-pulped, and fermented in water tanks, resulting in clear and defined flavors. They are then dried on raised African beds, where slow drying preserves delicate floral and citrus notes. The result is a harmonious, elegant, and vibrant coffee, perfect for filter brewing, where its delicate character and long aftertaste truly shine.
