Colourful, sweet and playful! Sweetshop blend is an espresso that breaks all the rules. This blend boldly combines two completely different worlds - Brazil and Burundi - to create a coffee that doesn't play for balance, but bets everything on an intense fruity profile. Drinking this cup will make you feel like you're enjoying candied orange and chocolate-covered strawberries. This fruity-chocolate symphony is complemented by the jammy taste of black cherries, which clearly doesn't play second fiddle in this orchestra of flavours. If you're looking for an espresso that tastes different from all the others, here comes the new Sweetshop!
The idea behind this blend is clear: to bring together two completely different approaches to coffee - and to show what espresso can be. Álvaro Colí's farm in the Mantiqueira de Minas region of Brazil represents modern, precise and comprehensively managed production. Álvaro is a member of the renowned Cocarive cooperative and is known for his sense of craftsmanship, which gives his lots an unmistakable chocolate character and a rich texture reminiscent of a black cherry cake.
On the other side of the blend is Bukeye Washing Station from the Kayanza hills, an area in northern Burundi known for its complicated terrain and production challenges. Every year, local smallholder farmers opt for quality time and time again when they bring their cherries to the Bukeye Washing Station, managed by the Long Miles Coffee Project. This station has earned a reputation for turning small deliveries into perfectly consistent and distinctive lots - the result of tireless work and deep local knowledge.
Bukeye Washing Station has opted for a washed processing method that highlights its fresh fruit character, smoothness and citrus acidity. In contrast, Álvaro 's Brazilian ingredient has undergone a natural processing that brings a dense sweetness, chocolate notes and creamy texture to the cup.
