About The Studio Coffee Roasters

A lifelong passion for food, wine and coffee is what led Alan Phillips to begin roasting his own beans in the coastal Irish county of Meath, not too far away from Dublin. He was taught by one of the best in the business- Keese Kraakman from the Amsterdam based Keppler Coffee. Now Alan runs his own business in the spirit of his teachings and emphasis on quality and consistency. 

Alan's philosophy is that in roasting when you start increasing the size of your batches, you start losing the quality. That's why they decided at The Studio to the only roast in small batches, and roast their beans in a fifteen-kilo capacity Giesen coffee roaster. Sustainability and environmental friendliness are considered to be a given at The Studio, and so a large proportion of their energy consumption comes from renewable sources.

A testimony to the quality of their products is among many others, the 2018 and 2019 Great Taste awards their coffee won.
