This coffee comes from the Tumba washing station, located at an altitude of 1776 m a.s.l. in the heart of the Rwandan Rulindo district. Since its establishment in 2008, it has been dedicated to the precise processing of cherries from over 1650 local farmers. They only supply carefully hand-picked cherries, which then undergo strict sorting and are dried for 25–30 days on African raised beds. The station is managed by Venuste, a former teacher who was inspired by his family’s coffee tradition. Thanks to his leadership, Tumba is one of the best-organized stations in the region, and its coffee is consistently ranked among the highest-quality lots from all over Rwanda.
This coffee is 100% Red Bourbon, a variety known for its high sweetness and velvety body.
