About Sprout Coffee Roasters

Sprout Coffee Roasters is a Dutch company that will draw you in with their unconventional design, passionate love for coffee, and their philosophy that they stand by with their coffee and work.

Sprout was founded in 2019 by Daniell and Ruben, two brothers who were born in Eindhoven and raised in Perth, Australia. After owning a speciality coffee bar in Australia, There they ran their own espresso bar, but eventually, they returned to their hometown full of experience and love for coffee to start their second café - and roastery. In addition to their love for coffee, they also share a sense of humour, a passion for drinking beer and devotion to hard work. They strive to preserve the value that farmers add to their coffee during cultivation and to create the most sustainable coffee production system possible. They dedicate themselves to green coffee with love, respect and esteem for their craft, and they want to help fellow baristas to make the best coffee so that anyone who tastes it will fall in love with it just as much as they do.

The name Sprout is very symbolic for the brand. As they themselves say:" it’s an exciting time, it’s the start of something new, the start of growth, this is what we at Sprout are all about. We strive to keep this idea in everything we do, creating better coffee and all growing together." This symbolism can also be found in their beautiful packaging designs. "Each country, culture and coffee has got it’s own specifics and characteristics. We carry this through by drawing and designing our labels with symbols that represent each country and culture that we work with in coffee. Coffee is a product of the natural environment and thus we chose animals as symbols to represent each nation's unique environment. The background and colouring show recognisable elements of the land."

I had to look for a way to prepare the coffee to make me excited about something
sometimes too grassy
Recipe
This Rwanda worked best for me with the Tetsu 4:6 method. A finer grind, the fruitiness overpowering the flowers. :)
