About Right Side Coffee
Right Side Coffee is a lively roastery that was born in 2012 in the north-east of Spain.
In addition to building relationships with farmers and roasting coffee, the Right Side Coffee team also provides training and consultancy for coffee colleagues, advising and assisting them in the field of coffee technology and processing based on their own experience with machines for roasting and subsequent preparation of coffee as such.
The main idea of the team of this roastery is the realization that they are basically chefs, but they only work with one raw material - coffee. In the heart of Barcelona, they like to share their passion for roasting coffee, its quality and supporting the cafes, restaurants and of course the farmers they buy their coffee from. Thus, they try to ensure direct contacts with coffee producers, because they believe that they will achieve the best result precisely and only through direct cooperation and transparency. Producers are thus paid according to the quality of individual batches and not according to exchange rates, which results in much higher support for individual farmers. Since 2013, the team has been traveling the world looking for farmers to collaborate with and experimenting with different coffee fermentation methods and other drying methods to define flavor profiles.
Every week they roast coffee in a Probat L12 roaster from 1993, which they adapted to their own needs. They roast both filter coffee and espresso to meet all the needs of the target groups. Because they are demanding in their choice of green coffee, they also pay attention to the very consistency of roasting in order to achieve a unique flavor profile.
