Its bright acidity is beautifully balanced with sweet tones, making it the ideal choice for all lovers of fruity and clean filters.
This Kenyan coffee comes from the fertile Kirinyaga region, which is renowned for its ideal conditions for growing specialty coffee. At an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level, small farmers carefully cultivate varieties like Batian, SL28, and SL34, known for their rich aromatics and pronounced acidity. The coffee cherries were handpicked in April 2024, when the fruits are at peak ripeness, ensuring intense flavor and aromatic complexity.
After harvest, the coffee underwent the traditional washing method, which has long been popular in Kenya for its ability to highlight the clarity and fruitiness of the flavor. The cherries were first depulped and then fermented for 36–48 hours to remove the remaining mucilage and develop a bright acidity. After fermentation, the coffee was carefully washed and dried on African beds, where it stayed for several days until it reached the ideal moisture content. This processing method contributes to its distinctive freshness and pleasantly dry finish.
