About Frukt Coffee Roasters
Frukt Coffee Roasters is a small and modern coffee roastery based in the Kakola neighbourhood in Turku. They focus on seasonal coffee from small producers, transparency, traceability and of course, taste. You can expect fun and unusual coffee all year round.
The roastery was founded by Kyle Papai and Samuli Pääkkönen in 2018 when they had the opportunity to purchase and renovate the space where they are based today.
We were motivated to establish a roastery by the fact that most of the coffee that people know are mixtures of different origins and qualities. By prioritising quantity over quality, you will reach more people... but that's not as important to us. You don't need coffee to survive. Instead, coffee producers should be getting paid fairly for their product in order to survive and grow. That is a fact and we can do our part and pay more for quality.
