About Five Ways
Call them what you want: experts, craftsmen, artists... but they prefer to be called artists.
The concept of Five Ways was created in 2017. The main idea of this roastery is the motto "We roast coffee for people", because they love the challenge of producing the best coffee products for their customers.
Owner and head roaster Ben Kozica-O'Callaghan oversees all roasting, quality control, purchasing and supply. Born in the heart of Melbourne's bustling coffee culture, Ben decided to visit a friend in Amsterdam for two days. This visit lasted for 6 months. After a brief return to Australia, Ben decided that Amsterdam would become his new home, where his hospitality baby, Five Ways Coffee Roasters, would be born, now located in the western part of Amsterdam.

And what are the roastery's visions?
- They ensure transparency from the moment the coffee beans are collected until they are roasted.
- Cooperation with trusted importers of still green grains and trading directly with farmers.
- They are constantly improving and trying to achieve the highest quality, whether it is coffee preparation, training programs or machines.
- They strive to provide the best experience to their customers.
- Their standards in coffee production are reflected in our care for the environment.
- By using innovative packaging and sustainable logistics techniques, they strive to reduce their carbon footprint. They are always looking for new and inspiring ways to be sustainable and take care of our planet.
In addition to the roastery, Five ways has also opened two cafes in the heart of Amsterdam, which you must visit during your stay in the capital of Holland to experience the Five ways atmosphere for yourself. Ben and his colleagues also offer training programs where you can expand both your barista and sensory skills as well as the basics of roasting.
