The selected coffee Ethiopia Jenny's BARREL COFFEE from the roastery The Naughty Dog is characterized by tones of chocolate, forest fruit, caramel, and whiskey.

A coffee with an alcohol taste is quite a combination. That’s why we eagerly embarked on a joint project with Kofiem. We enjoy experimenting and coming up with new ideas, and barrel-aged coffee was a great unknown for us, but we were also really intrigued by how coffee stored in barrels would turn out.

We bought a barrel from a Czech whiskey producer, which had served them in their distillery for several years. Originally, it was bought from distant Tennessee, where Jack Daniels whiskey matured in this barrel. And it’s incredibly aromatic.

We tested various coffees and different lengths of "aging" the coffee in the barrel. In the end, we chose washed Ethiopia, which we let rest in the barrel for several days. We wanted to achieve a strong whiskey flavor while ensuring that the Ethiopia didn’t lose its characteristic features and that the alcohol taste didn’t overwhelm it. The coffee carries notes of caramel, chocolate, and forest fruit, followed by floral flavors, and the aftertaste has a pleasant whiskey finish. When you let the coffee cool a little, the alcohol notes will be more pronounced.

But don’t worry, the coffee contains no alcohol.

For anyone who likes Irish coffee and for some reason doesn't want or can't use alcohol, this is a wonderful choice. Very intense whiskey taste, sweetness and almost zero acidity, which some people like.
