Embark on a flavor journey to the heart of Ethiopia, where on the mountain slopes of the Guji region, coffee matures with rich history and an exceptional profile. The roastery Industra Coffee brings you a specialty arabica that blossoms in the cup with notes of floral tones, figs, and delicate caramel. Thanks to its natural processing, this coffee boasts a full body, vibrant sweetness, and beautifully complex aroma.
This coffee comes from the Hambela Wamena washing station, established in 2018 by the founder of the well-known Ethiopian farms Tega & Tula. Located at the summit of Guji Hambela, it serves as a key hub for surrounding towns. Today, it works with approximately 3,900 producers. Beyond producing exceptional coffee, the station actively contributes to improving local conditions — supporting social programs such as road and school construction, providing farmers with technical equipment, and helping cover healthcare costs, especially for women.
Coffee cultivation in Ethiopia is truly unique. Unlike large plantations, farmers here grow coffee on small plots of land, often alongside other crops. After harvest, they bring their cherries to washing stations where the cherries are sorted, weighed, and purchased. The coffee is then processed using either the washed or natural method — one of the oldest and most demanding techniques. The cherries are dried on raised beds and regularly turned to ensure even drying. This process can take up to three weeks, depending on weather conditions. The result is a rich, fruity, and sweet coffee with deep aromatic complexity.
