This beauty from Mazelab Roasters has been naturally processed and in a cup that means only one thing - the vibrant acidity of dried cranberries, the juicy sweetness of plums, the round silky texture and the clean finish of black tea. Don't expect the classics, this is a coffee that really grabs you. We recommend it with all ten.

Bekele Kachara is an experienced coffee grower from the Bensa region of Sidama, Ethiopia , who has been growing specialty coffee for over 20 years. He manages several farms where he focuses on local varieties #74158, #74112 and #74110. His main farm of 4 ,5 hectares produces approximately 70 bags of green coffee (60 kg each) per year. Although it does not have official organic certification, it uses environmentally friendly fertilisation methods and hires seasonal workers during harvesting and drying. ZEM Coffee plays a key role in its story , helping to develop the Bensa region as a recognised origin of specialty coffee since 2013. Thanks to this collaboration, local farms have received international awards such as the Good Food Awards and the Gold Bean Awards.

This is a coffee from the regular Natural Process range, a more traditional approach that still shows the same care and precision. This coffee is grown at an altitude of 2,350 metres in the Murago highlands and processed using the natural method. This involves slow drying in the sun on raised beds, with the coffee being rotated regularly to prevent mould and unwanted fermentation.

  • Altitude: 2350 m above sea level.
