About Dak Lak Coffee
In 2012, after 20 years, the founder of the Tuan company met with his former classmate, with whom he was studying in what was then Czechoslovakia. His classmate is now the mayor of a small village in Dak Lak province, for whom coffee is the main source of income.
After visiting the village, Tuan learned that although Vietnam is the second largest exporter of coffee in the world, few people know about Vietnamese coffee. Most also thought that Vietnamese coffee was of lower quality than coffee from countries such as Brazil and Ethiopia.
So Tuan decided to raise awareness of Vietnamese coffee and especially to improve its reputation, and so the Dak Lak Coffee roaster was established.
