Cascara translates to "husk" or "skin," and in this case, it refers to the husks of coffee cherries. These husks are a byproduct of coffee processing. After the coffee beans are extracted and further processed on the farm, the remaining husk is sweet, juicy, and full of fruity flavors. Farmers dry this husk and sell it as Cascara. It is not coffee.
