About Kaffa

The Slovak roaster from Považská Bystrica, which has been roasting coffee since 2018 with the intention of experiencing the best that coffee has to offer, accompanies the selection of every single bean from their production. They select green coffee from farms all over the world, focusing on coffees with an interesting flavor profile that reflects the character of the region, the variety, the processing method and the philosophy of the farmer himself.

Peter Jurko

Their name comes from the Ethiopian language and means an ancient name for coffee. The whole design unfolds and is built on this idea. The layout consists of a label and a logo. The label is in the shape of a coffee bean, with each type of coffee using a color combination to determine its flavor profile. Fruit tones are, for example, red, orange or green. The logotype has scattered letters and is placed in a specific position above the label. This packaging layout is a key part of the product's identity. The rise of the letters above the coffee bean symbolizes the aroma that rises from freshly brewed coffee.

At a temperature of about 85 °C, a nice blueberry aroma, mild tones of banana, but otherwise quite heavy.
I was really looking forward to it, but it didn't appeal to me at all :(
I tried to play with the water temperature, the grinder setting and the preparation method, but it doesn't work out well at all.
High bitterness at higher temperature.
Purchased at the beginning of October, I wonder if it was some last failed batch, because otherwise it has a very good rating here.
