About Talormade

Talormade is a Norwegian coffee roaster from Oslo. At the same time, it is not just a roastery itself, it is also a brand covering a pastry shop with popular donuts, a chain of cafes and a training center.

The story of Talormade begins with the story of founder Talor Browne. At the beginning of the 21st century, she flew to Melbourne to become part of the growing coffee scene. Under the watchful eye of legends such as Mark Dundon, Bridget Amor (Brother Baba, Seven Seeds), Fleur Studd and Bobby Green, Talor has built her knowledge by working with the best in the business. In 2011, she accepted an offer to lead the team in the Parisian city of Coutume. After many years of experience, she founded the first company Talor&Jørgen, which managed to expand to 50 different countries. It was here that the idea for the popular donuts was born, as Talor was not only a bread maker, but also a skilled confectioner. There were queues for her donut pop-ups in Finland and Sweden. Based on this, the first donut shop with selected coffee in Oslo was opened after almost a year of operation of the original roaster. From 10 employees, the team grew to 20, and Talor herself was working up to 300 hours a month at this time to upgrade everything in an effort by business partners to force Talor out of her own company. The Talormade roastery was born out of a legal dispute between her and her business partners!

Today, the master roasters at Talormade are Matt and Ida, who acquired the skills needed to roast coffee to perfection under Talor's guidance in record time! None of them had ever roasted coffee before, but now they operate a roastery: roasting, packing and shipping over 700 kg of coffee every week. All the coffee beans go through a Loring S15 Falcon roaster, which they installed in June 2019 and less than six months passed before they passed the 1000 batch milestone. Whether it's roasting 1.3 TONS of coffee in one week to meet the Christmas rush, or roasting, packaging and shipping over 200 boxes of coffee in a matter of hours, they always find a way to achieve their goals in the smoothest way possible. They perform intensive quality checks and cuppings every week to ensure they consistently deliver consistent results and absolutely stellar coffee. The very goal of the Talormade roastery lies in "Roast delicious coffees the way people like them, be transparent and kind, and above all: have fun!"
