Square Mile 's FERNANDO ARDILA is an espresso that delivers a taste experience typical of Colombian coffees, with distinctive notes of tangerine, caramel and a subtle hint of almond sweetness. Embodying a smooth and balanced profile, this coffee is ideal for lovers of quality espresso who appreciate complexity and smoothness. In every sip, fresh citrus notes combine with the subtle sweetness of caramel and almond, giving the coffee a pleasant and harmonious taste. Fernando Ardila, the name of this espresso, is synonymous with the quality and tradition that this coffee carries.

The coffee comes from the La Estrella farm , founded in 2012 by Fernando Ardila in collaboration with his family. The farm is located in the heart of the Huila region of Colombia, specifically in the Guadalupe Mountains at 1830 metres above sea level. This ideal altitude, together with the favourable climate and fertile soil, is the basis for the high quality of Fernando's coffee. The farm grows 15 000 trees of the Colombia and Caturra varieties, which are carefully tended by the Ardila family. Together, Fernando, his wife Nubia and son Jhon are involved in all aspects of cultivation, including sustainability and improving practices that lead to the production of exceptional coffee. La Estrella Farm has become a symbol of family tradition and hard work, which is reflected in the quality of their production.

The coffee beans at La Estrella Farm undergo the washed processing that is characteristic of Colombian coffees. After harvesting, the cherries are carefully sorted and the beans separated from the pulp. This process involves fermentation, which allows the coffee to achieve the clean, fresh flavour typical of washed coffees. After fermentation, the beans are thoroughly rinsed and dried in the sun, which contributes to their delicate flavour and aroma. The processing, combined with high quality ingredients and a careful approach to cultivation, gives Fernando Ardila coffee its unique balance and richness of flavour that you will want to enjoy again and again.
