With the naturally processed Brazil DATTERA RESERVE from the German roastery The Barn, you can prepare both espresso and filter coffee. This one is especially pleasing for lovers of sweeter coffees. Expect a cup full of rich notes of cherry jam and nougat. It's a low-caffeine coffee, too.

Daterra is renowned for its top-tier coffee and research-driven innovation. The Daterra Reserve Low Caf is packed with sweetness. The Aramosa variety used here naturally contains around 50% less caffeine than regular Arabica, without compromising on body or flavor. This coffee is an ideal choice for those who want to enjoy multiple cups throughout the day without overloading on caffeine.

Natural processing adds unique flavor attributes to coffee regardless of variety or terroir. Often positive, but if the drying process is poorly executed, it can lead to unpleasant results—fermented, boozy notes or even flavors reminiscent of compost. On the other hand, when done correctly, the natural method brings fruitiness and a creamy body into the cup every time.

A beautifully fruity coffee like this at Christmas time. Pleasantly sweet, fruity acidity. No bitterness and no unpleasant acidity. Bought a few months ago for my wife.
Woman: Smell sweeter, taste more sour. She likes it very much.
Making coffee for a woman at five in the morning with an advent calendar from KofioxNaughtyDog probably paid off in the taste of this coffee. I only slept three hours today, which is probably why she likes it.
Recipe
Preparation method: Kinto SCS + Cafec medium-dark osmotic flow filter, 4 infusions
Coffee (g): 30
Water (g): 500
Water temperature: max 95 (for spilling the filter)
Grinder (settings): 1zpresso J-max 2 2 4
Process: Flower for about a minute 70g, then another infusion to about 200? at 1:40 to 350 and then to 500 sometimes. End about 3:40?

Very good coffee at origin, from the parcel that the Barn owns inside Daterra estate.
Natural process with a pleasant outcome.
If ground on the finer side, better with faster filters and low water temperatures.
I find difficult to brew a good cup. A good amount of chaff in the bag, the beans are producing a lot of fine particles while grinding.
Grind it medium-fine and will clog your filter, resulting in an over-extracted, gloomy brew.
Grind it coarser and will be thin and flat...
You have to experiment a bit to achieve a balanced cup.
Recipe
Method of preparation: flat brewer (Orea V3), recipe for a small cup.
Coffee (g): 12
Water (g): 200
Water temperature: 88-90
Grinder (settings): medium-fine
Process: 4 pours x 50g every 30secs. You can't go wrong.

Nougat notes are present
My first low-caf Aramosa coffee. I can definitely feel that it‘s low-caf
Great alternative to (ethyl acetate) decafs, which all taste similar and have brittle beans
Lots of chaff in the bag. If I didn’t blow it out, my shot had a papery taste
