Timemore Chestnut C2 FOLD: All-metal workhorse for great money
Every category of coffee accessories has its imaginary winner, and the Chestnut C2 grinder from China's Timemore definitely stands tall on the mid-range stage for manual coffee grinding. 🥇 It is well-designed and grinds with surgical precision.
Quality metal and only a minimum of plastic
At first glance, you would easily place the Chestnut C2 a category higher, and there would be nothing to be surprised about. The grinder not only looks great, but is also well made. Inside the all-metal body with plastic elements you will find two grinding 38mm conical stones 💎 made of hardened steel (stone: G1) and two bearings that attach them to the axis. The all-metal container for ground coffee is attached to the body from below, which you can thread with the grinder after a few turns. On top, the Chestnut C2 is hinged by a sturdy handle with a plastic cap. ✊
Precise grinding within seconds
The grinder is an excellent companion for preparing filtered coffee. You can easily adjust the coarseness of grinding on the jump mechanism, which is revealed to you after unscrewing the collection container. 🎛️ By turning to the left, you will grind more finely, turning to the right will set the grinding coarser. When checking the roughness, don't forget to put on the handle, otherwise your axis would spin. Once you're set up, it's time to grind. Put the collection container back on, fill the grinder with coffee beans (it holds up to 25 g), close the lid and you're green. The first thing you notice is how quickly and comfortably the grinder grinds. Thanks to the perfectly sharpened stones, you will feel almost no resistance and you will be done in no time - for coarser French press grinding, the Chestnut C2 can handle up to 1g/s! 🏎️
Aluminum handsome in different colors
With its beautiful premium look, the Chestnut C2 will certainly fit into your coffee equipment, and you also have a choice of seven color versions. 🎨 Timemore has also sewn a transport case made of solid material with separate parts for the grinder, so you don't have to worry about scratching the metal body on the way. Chestnut C2 is also made in a more bulbous Max version if you frequently grind larger batches.
