The Subminimal contactless thermometer is the perfect tool for making sure your milk is heated to the perfect temperature without having to submerge it like other traditional thermometers. Thanks to its compact size, this thermometer is also suitable for travelling, for example, and can read the temperature of the measured liquid within 20 seconds. One of the main advantages is its ability to switch between celsius and fahrenheit, with a measurable range between -50 to 250°C (-58°F to 480°F).
It is suitable for measuring the temperature of milk as well as any other liquids, but it should be noted that it only measures the surface temperature, and therefore it is advisable to stir your beverage before measuring to get an accurate reading.
At the same time, the measured temperature can be affected by steam coming off the liquid and it is also necessary to be careful that no other material (lid, etc.) comes between the thermometer and the measured food/liquid, which could affect the final reading accuracy. The thermometer measures the temperature of the first contact point and so it is essential that the direction in which the thermometer is pointed is onto the liquid, so that the temperature isn't reflected say from the walls of your jug, etc. so that temperatures do not reflect off the walls of the kettle, etc.
Thanks to its contactless properties, it doesn't need to be cleaned after use and is therefore the most efficient tool on the market. It runs on two LR44 batteries
