Booster 45 from the very innovative and exclusive Sibarist brand brings a revolutionary way of preparing coffee. This is a gadget that increases extraction power and flow when brewing in a dripper that has a flat bottom. The booster was developed together with Matt Winton (winner of the 2021 World Brewers Cup) to achieve the best ratio of contact area and free space.
The booster is placed between the paper filter with a flat bottom and the dripper itself. It greatly increases the contact area under the coffee bed, exactly where we want most of the coffee to flow evenly and consistently through the filter. Booster therefore increases the flow rate and the possibility of higher extraction without so-called channeling.
The result is coffees without bitterness and dryness, even at very high extractions, allowing you to grind more finely, get sweeter, richer and better cups without having to change your dripper, just by adding Booster under the paper filter.
How to prepare coffee using Booster 45
- Place the booster in the flat bottom dripper making sure it sits on the bottom or bottom grooves in an even and level position parallel to the bottom of the dripper.
- Insert a coffee filter into the dripper.
- Rinse the filter and make sure the bottom of the filter is in contact with the Booster.
- Add coffee and start brewing.
For use with 45mm flat bottom drippers (most flat bottom drippers eg Orea V3, Kalita 155 and 185, Fellow, April...) in combination with any flat bottom filter.
