Paragon is a patented design that uses innovative coffee cooling technology and thanks to it enhances the experience of coffee preparation.
It has long been clear that aroma plays the same role in coffee preparation as taste. To keep more aroma in the cup, they created the Paragon device in collaboration with the University of Zurich, which maximizes the potential of the preparation process.
Design backed by science
Based on many years of extensive research, it has been scientifically proven that thanks to this tool, up to 40% more aromatic molecules are captured in the coffee than in an identical coffee that was prepared without refrigeration.
And what is the main feature of the construction?
Cooling ball. It is made of food-grade stainless steel and coated with a layer of highly resistant titanium. The spherical shape and large surface allow for uniform and rapid cooling. Inside the ball is a high-density liquid gel that maintains a lower temperature for longer and cools faster than hollow or water-filled alternatives.

Use
Place the dripper on top. Place the cooling ball in the holder below it. Adjust the height of the cooling ball holder so that it is just below the dripper, but not touching the bottom of the dripper. Place a server or teapot in the lower part. The ball should be fully frozen before each use.
Cleaning
There is no need to disassemble the Paragon device before cleaning. Use a damp cloth and a mild detergent to wipe the surfaces. Avoid excessive heat and chemicals as this may cause the finish to fade or peel off. Just rinse the cooling ball with warm or cold water after each use without using detergent. Dry it with a clean cloth before returning it to the freezer.
How long does it take for a chill ball to freeze? We recommend placing it in a standard freezer at a temperature of -10 to -20 °C for 1 hour. You can check if it is completely frozen by shaking it. If it is not completely frozen, you will feel the inner gel moving. If the inner gel does not move, it is fully frozen and ready to use.
