Fellow Prismo is a special pressure-actuated valve for the AeroPress Aerobie®. Thanks to the Fellow Prismo you can now prepare a delicious cup of espresso style coffee using your AeroPress.

How does the Fellow Prismo work?

The Fellow Prismo attachement smoothly connects onto your AeroPress Aerobie the same exact way you're used to with the standard plastic sieve. The Fellow Prismo is comprised of  two parts, a valve and a metal filter. The sustainable fine metal filter stops sludge in its tracks and eliminates the need for AeroPress® paper filters. After plunging your Prismo, pop the coffee puck into your compost bin and give the metal filter a quick rinse, and use it for many years to come.

All other aspects are identical to preparing a filtered AeroPress coffee. Fill it with coffee, pour over boiling water and press.

Comfort
It does not flow, there is no need to use the reverse method
I always use it with a paper filter without any problems
Without Prismo, I don't use AP at all
Fairly pure coffee without a paper filter
Cannot be used only with a paper filter due to the sealing ring on the metal filter.
Bigger than the original strainer, but in the end I used the original AP funnel ;-)

I bought mainly for convenience, so that I don't have to turn the AeroPress during full immersion. In this direction, it works perfectly!
Can be used in combination with a paper filter.
I find it provides better flow control.
The price for convenience is higher than the price of the Aeropress itself.

I add 17g of espresso beans to 50g of water
Of course, you won't make a standard espresso, but with a good grinder you can get close to it by about 70%
A cheap alternative to preparing espresso
Easy to wash

Pretty neat paper filter replacement however I don't see too much of a difference between the regular metal filter and this one

Hello, we managed to lose the strainer for the Fellow Prismo, is it possible to purchase it separately? Thank you

Lucie:

Good day, Lucie :)
The screen that is used in the Fellow Prismo is inserted into a sealing ring, which then fits perfectly into the Prism. The replacement metal filters we offer are for use in Aeropress without Prisma.

Kryštof: Good day,

unfortunately, I don't understand the answer if the metal strainer for the Fellow Prisimo can be purchased separately in case of loss.

I understand that the metal filter is for use without Prisimo.

Thanks

Barbora Šůstek Miturová: Hello,
Unfortunately, the strainer in Prismo is not produced separately without a sealing ring. So there is no other option than to buy a new Prismo. :) Hopefully my answer is clearer now. :)

Good day. I would like to ask if it is possible to remove this strainer from the pressure valve and use this strainer instead https://kofio.cz/prislusenstvi/…?

Zuzana:

Hello, Zuzana :)

Replacement sieves are intended directly for the Aeropress and not for the Fellow prismo. Prisma also has a rubber band next to the strainer, which is a valve seal. We would not recommend handling it so much, in order not to damage the product and lose its function :)

Kryštof: Thank you very much for the answer. I would like to ask something else (forgive me, I don't know much about it yet). I bought an AeroPress Aerobie with a travel case. What metal filter goes with it? I bought paper filters for it, but unfortunately it leaked right away and then I read that there should also be a metal filter for it. thank you for answer

Zuzana:

When using paper filters, we recommend using two pieces placed on top of each other. This is also due to the fact that the paper filters are not evenly pressed and their pores overlap beautifully. The following metal filters fit the Aeropress:
