Instructions for preparing traditional Turkish coffee (cezve ibrik):
Cezve ibrik is a very simple tool for making traditional Turkish coffee. The preparation time should not exceed 3 minutes. We recommend using 6 grams of coffee per 50 ml of water.
- The basis is fresh speciality coffee ground to a very fine coarseness- almost powder.
- Place your new copper cezve on a heat source and fill with 2/3 cold water.
- Sweeten the water with sugar (or cardamom) and pour your freshly ground coffee.
- As soon as the coffee starts to froth, stop it and tap gently. Repeat this 2 more times.
- Serve the coffee immediately after the last tapping.
