Delter Cold Drip from the young company Delter Coffee is a novelty among coffee accessories. After the success of its Delter Coffee Press, this Australian kickstarter presents another completely innovative piece for coffee lovers with a penchant for refreshing iced coffee. If it bothers you when preparing a cold drip that the coffee gradually slows down the flow until it stops dripping completely, this dripper is exactly for you.
Key properties
- 3 stacked 200 ml water tanks with a hole in the middle
- Fine stainless steel filter
- Uniform flow of water through the coffee throughout the extraction
- Easy to use
- 600 ml of perfect cold drip in 3 hours
How to get the most stable flow?
In order to eliminate the problems of similar products with this dripper, which drip more slowly until they stop as the level decreases, they decided to completely eliminate the adjustable water tap. Instead, you adjust the drip rate by the height of the water level in the lowest of the three water tanks. As water drips into it from higher containers, its level remains stable, as does the speed of the coffee flow. It is impossible to have more control over the flow. Check out the graphic below for comparison:
Making great coffee on this dripper is very simple:
- Pour more coarsely ground coffee
- Place a paper filter on it (for more even extraction)
- Pour water into the three tanks and place them on top of each other
- Wait 3 hours
- Enjoy an unforgettably gentle cold drip
