Ancoats Coffee Co.

The story of Ancoats Coffee roastery and coffee shop originates in Manchester in the U.K. This roastery is close to our Czech hearts because our very own Lukáš Komúrka, ex-roaster and owner of Gnomes Coffee (which was on offer several years back on Kofio)  works there. 

Lukáš works along Luisa and owner Jaimie as head of all roasting operations thanks to his expertise from Gnome's coffee. In 2018 when he made the journey to Manchester, he brought along with him lots of experience and knowledge about quality control. 

During their roasting process, Ancoast puts a lot of emphasis on highlighting the specific characteristics of each coffee, and when sourcing, they focus on finding the best and highest quality lots. Ancoast wants their coffee to bring happiness to people's lives and smiles to their faces. Smiles small, medium or big, because coffee isn't just a regular commodity, but an instrument for communication, for gathering experiences and for manifesting pleasure. Ancoast wants to break down the stereotypical way of thinking about coffee as a necessity! It's not an everyday obligation, but rather a way to make your busy day that little bit more enjoyable for a few minutes.
